Construction in the Bridges at Preston Crossing Area (Bridges Golf Club)

FM 121 construction for the Bridges Golf Club section in front of the homes and golf course began this week and should be completed with the first course seal this month. The contractors are widening the roadway and rehabilitating FM 121 to provide a safer and smoother roadway for the public. The driveways to the residents homes and the golf course will have some work performed because of the roadway being widened but access will not be shut off.

The traffic control while performing this work will result in one way traffic with a pilot car that drives back and forth to lead the traffic through the work area and a flagger at the driveways will be there to make sure that anyone entering FM 121 will be going in the same direction as the pilot car. The one way traffic control will only be during the daytime and hopefully won’t cause too many delays. After the entire project is widened from Gunter at SH 289 to 1 mile west of FM 3356 and has the first course seal completed the contractor will place a final sealcoat which will result in a similar traffic control set up. The second should be much faster and will probably be next summer.
